This class will give you a historical foundation of the beginning of the church and the historical beginnings and progression of Baptist history, its ecclesiastical and doctrinal uniqueness. This class will also introduce you to critical and analytical methodology for historical study. The overall goal of this class is to help enhance your current walk and ministry to the Lord. Finally, the class aims to develop a better appreciation of the student's current local church and its history.

About the Teacher: Pastor Bong is a graduate of Gateway Seminary and currently finishing his Doctorate of Ministry. He has taught courses for the past 6 years for Oahu Bible Institute. He is a pastor of churches, facilitates the work of 70 congregations of the Oahu Baptist Network, and has a rich and deep appreciation of ecclesiastical history. He is married to Cristina and they have three young adult sons (Micah, Miko, and Michak).
